To speak of a spiritual parent is equivalent to speaking of spiritual covering, and neither of the two can be given if there is no parent-child relationship. Today, being affiliated with a denomination, a ministry or an association of pastors is called covering; but this does not imply that a person has spiritual covering, since the children do not even know their spiritual father personally. How can they receive an inheritance that is not given to them? How can they go after a spiritual father who is only after their money and is not willing to transfer an inheritance to them? In light of these hard truths, the question then arises: who is a spiritual father?

A spiritual father is one who invests his life, his gifts, abilities and resources in men and women who want to fulfill God's will in their lives; he rescues them, heals them, gives them name, value, meaning, receives them, and gives them a life of love and love.
